When Is The Best Time To Install Landscape Lighting?

With many things, there is a best time to do them. Sowing tomato seeds outdoors in December is generally not a wise thing if you want actual tomatoes to grow. Planting fescue grass is best done in the fall, not in August’s blazing heat. You can’t plow January’s snow in August, it has to be done when the snow falls. However, outdoor lighting installation here in North Carolina’s Triad and surrounding areas is not like that.

The best time to install outdoor lighting is now. Whenever “now” is. We can install lighting during winter’s chill or summer’s heat.

In the winter darkness falls earlier, so outdoor lighting will enable people coming and going for the holiday season to be able to see the pathway to your front door and safely navigate it. And don’t forget the random 70 degree days we get: you might be encouraged to go outside and enjoy your firepit or living space, but it still gets dark early so you’ll want those lights out there. For our purposes, winter tends to be a quieter time (especially immediately after Christmas and New Year’s), so we can get your lights installed fairly quickly.

So, if you missed winter, how about spring? Is that a good time? Of course! We can design and install your system before the summer rush. Days are still a bit shorter, so you’ll see and enjoy your lights even before you get into full scale outdoor living mode. But our weather here gets warm pretty quickly and we’re all anxious to get out there and enjoy ourselves, so lighting would be beneficial now too.

Ah, summer. Is that a good time? Absolutely! We spend so much time outside during the summer, and our schedules tend to be a little less hectic. The cooler evenings beckon you to stay just a little longer. You’re outside having a great time and then realize just when the party is starting to get going, y’all have to go inside because the tiki torches aren’t cutting it. You can’t see each other. Then that really interrupts your momentum, and suddenly everyone is leaving. Call us. We’ll get your lights up and running so y’all can party all night long outside next time.

How about the fall? Is that a good time? Yes, for sure. The days are getting shorter, and we’re all thinking about pumpkin spice everything (whether you’re for it or against it!). We’re still outside here in NC, but it’s getting darker earlier. Lighting would enable us to stay outside even longer. In front of the fire pit. With marshmallows (but not pumpkin spice marshmallows. No.). And maybe some hot cider. Yum!

Really, anytime is a good time to call and have outdoor lighting installed here in North Carolina. Don’t wait to provide safety and security for your family, as well as the aesthetic benefit and the ability to enjoy your home’s outdoor living space. Get started now!
