- Can I incorporate LED lights into an existing system utilizing traditional fixtures, bulbs, and transformers? YES. They can be used interchangeably without any retro fitting.
- Are there submersable LED fixtures available for us in ponds, water features, or fountains? YES.
- If an LED fixture burns out, can you change out the bulb? YES and No. That depends on whether you bought fixtures specifically designed for LED use or if you have bought aftermarket MR16 bulbs and interchanged them with factory incandescent bulbs. The answer is Yes, if you have bought aftermarket MR16 bulbs. The answer is No, if you have bought true LED fixtures from the beginning.
- What is the benefit of buying fixtures strickly made as an LED light fixture as opposed to retro-fitting existing MR16 fixtures? The cost of the MR16 bulb is not much cheaper than a true LED light fixture and the quality and availability of these types lamps are not as readily available. Also the aftermarket MR16 lamps do not currently offer a wide range of beam angles or wattages that true LED light fixtures do.
